What Is Lng

LNG stands for Liquefied Natural Gas.
LNG is natural gas that is dehydrated, purified and cooled to the point of -162°C so that it condenses to a liquid at atmospheric pressure. Liquefaction reduces the volume by 600 times, which enables economical long-distance transportation and bulk storage.

Today, LNG is globally recognized as a safe, clean fuel and is both environmentally-friendly and economical.? LNG Natural gas is recognized as the cleanest fossil fuel. When burning, it produces fewer emissions of key pollutants that do harm to the respiratory system such as SO2, NOx and particulates than other fuel sources. It generates a comparatively lower greenhouse effect. If GwP of natural gas accounts for 1, petroleum accounts for 1.85 while coal for 2.08. |
